announce the use of TennisProView
by ARD First German Television
for their international and
national coverage of the
quarter-, semi- and final matches
of this year's Mercedes Cup,
Stuttgart, Germany, July 23 - 25.
QuesTec will once again work with
LMC to produce on-air serve
analysis and virtual replays
during this year's tournament.
TennisProView is a real-time
video and computer-based tracking
and scoring system that creates
virtual replays for television
and a behind-the-scenes analysis
tool for commentators.
TennisProView will be available
for all pre-match, match and
post-match coverage of center
court action. This year's
Mercedes Cup television audience
will be treated to a unique
perspective of different types of
serves, match serve patterns,
aces and close line calls.
This event is QuesTec's ninth
televised production featuring
TennisProView and the fourth
European Tennis production
produced by QuesTec and LMC.
QuesTec and LMC debuted
TennisProView at the 1998 ATP
World Championship, Hannover,
Germany. Since its debut,
TennisProView has been featured
during the Sybase Open,
Kroger/St. Jude, Franklin
Templeton, Lipton Championship,
Family Circle Cup, French Open
and the Gerry Weber Open.
