QUESTEC's TECHNOLOGY GOES ON-LINE FOR FOX SPORTS NET COVERAGE OF TEXAS RANGERS

ACTV INTEGRATES QUESTEC WITH "INDIVIDUALIZED TV"

Deer Park, N.Y. Tuesday, September 7, 1999 - QuesTec Imaging, Inc. (NASD-BB: QSTI), introduced their technology to fans of Texas Rangers' baseball games during FOX Sports Southwest's (FSSW) televised coverage of last Friday night's White Sox vs. Rangers game. QuesTec's technology is featured during the FSN games from Arlington Field as FOX Sports Net "PitchTrax". ACTV (NASDAQ: IATV), and FOX Sports Net Southwest will feature "PitchTrax" as part of their baseball coverage of Texas Rangers' home games for the remainder of the season. ACTV will display "PitchTrax" as a channel of content on their "Individualized Television" digital network. ACTV has contracted QuesTec to provide this service for the balance of the 1999 regular season, with an option for an additional two years.

QuesTec provides FSN with a real-time video and computer-based tracking and scoring system that creates a virtual replay for television and a behind-the-scenes analysis tool for commentators. Silicon Graphics (NYSE: SGI) O2(TM) workstations are used to instantly display real-time virtual replays of pitches, including the speed, movement and location of the ball. In addition, any pitch from any inning can be recalled and displayed at any time during the game, or a number of pitches can be shown full-screen in any sequence, or as a split-screen-comparison. These features are very effective in illustrating key pitches, key at-bats and pitcher/batter match-ups. ACTV will receive their real-time pitch information at their Irving, Texas studio via the Internet, transmitted to a dedicated SGI O2(TM) workstation.

"Our work with ACTV is the first multi-game contract for our new eSports(TM) program, which is QuesTec's ability to produce and provide technology content by transmitting real-time digital streams over the Internet. This process allows us to provide our clients with a technology content solution that does not require an expensive broadband medium. Our business-to-business technology enablement content is changing the way that our business-to-consumer clients choose to inform, educate and entertain their audience", stated Edward J. Plumacher, founder, QuesTec Imaging, Inc.

New York-based ACTV is a leading developer of patented software technologies and multimedia programming content for the rapidly emerging digital television and Internet platforms. ACTV uses proprietary software technologies to create "Individualized Television," which takes traditional television programming into the digital age by allowing viewers to switch seamlessly among multiple, real-time feeds of video, audio and data. ACTV produces individualized programming by combining different video, graphic and/or audio signals into one multi-path telecast. Viewers see and/or hear only one of the signals at a given moment; the others remain transparent.

QuesTec provides real-time motion capture, replay and analysis products for sports entertainment, display media, business and industry. The company develops real-time virtual replays and eReplays(TM) for mainstream professional sports and entertainment. QuesTec's technology enablement offers unique content and visualization for the convergence of today's emerging digital media.
